This initial offering, a fresh take on budding romance, blends bent and bounce in a uniquely satisfying way as admissions like “I’m just your side chick” play off of the empyreal-minded rhythms. It’s that type of candid confession, wrapped in sonorous packaging, that makes his latest such a well-received return.
