After making a name for himself as a go-to feature on tracks from Matoma, Manilla Killa, and Boombox Cartel, Griff Clawson is ready for his own moment on debut solo single “Chasing Highs.”

A break from the club-ready cuts he’s been attached to, this stripped-back, acoustic-pop piece portrays the pursuit of former nostalgic feelings in new friendships. Speaking on the impetus behind the track, the young singer-songwriter says:

…when a love fades or something else happens, you find yourself looking for that same feeling in something else or another person. There’s an implicit nostalgia that comes along with any good thing, because you’ll always cherish it, even if there are more good things coming down the line.
