When it comes to cataloguing some of the 90’s best one-hit-wonders, no list is complete without White Town’s “Your Woman.” Born from the mind of Britain’s Jyoti Prakash Mishra, the tune is funky, endearing, and just a little weird.
So it takes an act just as unique, like Canada’s Fake Shark, to do an update justice. The off-center rocker’s keep (mostly) true to the original’s melody, but do introduce bits of indie flair and polished modernity to make this cover a worthy compliment and a (potential) contemporary hit.
