One of 2020’s more intriguing discoveries, Iceland’s own Daði Freyr, is back with his entry into this year’s Eurovision contest “10 Years.”

After last year’s annual competition was canceled due to the Covid-19 crisis the singular singer-songwriter hopes to claim the top prize with this electronic-popper written about his wife to honor their aluminum anniversary. Sweetly tuned synths accent the start before a funky and vivacious electronic groove picks up and turns the cut into a charm-fueled listen. The rest of Europe is now on notice.
