For a species that thrives on social interaction, the hardest thing we humans can do sometimes is purposely distance ourselves from each other. Written before but fit for the pandemic, “Space” from Canadian performer Nuela Charles flips that notion on its head in defense of a failing relationship.

An alt-pop groover co-written alongside Don Mills and produced by Ryan Worsley, the group effort shines in its funky bass, precise percussion, and a very velvety verse and hook. Get closer with a listen.
