In the spirit of the season, Digital High favorite Sidney Riley returns with his synth-pop treat “Villain.”
While not entirely monstrous, the new tune tells the tale of a could-be bad guy at the hand of deviously rich rhythms and a devilishly charming vocal. Follow along as the soloist realizes a relationship is not all it was presented to be and realizes his own deceits. Speaking on the deeper meaning behind the track, he says:
…deep down I know that I am the villain in this story, for not acknowledging my feelings I still deny in public, for not being honest with myself and others, and for not caring enough to change or understand why.
Scary.
