Elison – Covered Me

Narcissists beware, Elison is serving your comeuppance on their latest “Covered Me.”

Armed with an uneasy, riff-riddled instrumental, the Des Moines duo (Marissa Kephart & Scott Yoshimura) take on egomaniacs with pointed lyricism and biting commentary. Speaking on the meaning, they share:

[The song] is peeling back the layers of someone whose love of the spotlight eclipses all else and even has you questioning yourself

There’s no questioning this track though, it’s one of the good ones.
