It’s Tuesday somewhere right? Because singer-songwriter Dempsey Bolton is treating that notion as truth on his latest “Wasted On A Tuesday.”

The first of six new singles before the release of his sophomore album, it’s a sunny, indie-pop bop, highlighted by a fun bounce, all in the name of cheekiness. Speaking on the inspiration, he shares:

Last year I moved to a new city to get a studio where I could produce music and I didn’t know anyone. I would literally wake up, eat, go to the studio and come back home to sleep and I felt super isolated. It led to me trying to pen those feelings and I thought ‘What’s more lonely than a dude drinking alone in a mall on a Tuesday?
