After bidding his band Estrons farewell, Rhodri Daniel has taken on a new project and moniker, Heddlu, and has released the electronic rocker “Auto-Da-Fé” in turn.

Translated as an “act of faith” in Spanish, the track parallels the sorrow and tumult (of the Spanish Inquisition it references) through dual-perspective lyricism and heightened instrumentation. But it’s the impassioned vocal take on trials and tribulations of our own making that seals this one as a worthy listen.
