Coupled with the release of her Only The Paranoid Survive EP, Darla Jade shares one of the final pieces “Imposter Syndrome.”
The electro-pop piece is a candid account of the condition known as R-OCD (Relationship OCD), told through a crafty combination of sound and style. Dynamic synths and driving bass runs shape the scene but it’s in the honest lyricism (amplified by a pristine vocal) that this cut truly takes off.
Speaking on the motivation, the soloist offers:
I’ve personally really struggled in the past with ROCD, which is Relationship OCD / Relationship anxiety. I feel it’s not talked about enough, so I wanted to bring the topic up through my music!
