Mexican singer+songwriter+producer MAUMAUMAU is swirling up a buzz with the release of his alt-indie, breakup bop “OMGi Pt. 2.”

Boasting a rock’d out sound and uplifting, lyrical realizations, not all is dire by the conclusion as the storyteller puts a positive spin on the end of a lasting relationship. Speaking on the process, he shares:

I wanted to write a breakup song that captured the pain of breaking up while still celebrating a wonderful relationship. The result is the song that you hear now, broken up into part one and part two (pun intended). They’re intended to be heard in conjunction for the full experience, but if you just wanna dance, you can just skip to the fun stuff, ha!

He gets it.
