Singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist-actress-activist paris jackson graces the DH pages for the first time, for good reason, as she releases her throwback latest “bandaid.”
Drawing inspiration from 90’s grunge and alternative, the multi-hyphenate channels one of rock music’s most memorable eras for one of her most vulnerable takes. Speaking on the process, she shares:
this is the type of music i used to dream of making myself when i was 14 discovering nirvana and pixies for the first time…it’s the first track i’ve truly let loose and yelled on in the studio, which you can hear in the third chorus, and i feel like that’s why it had to be the title track for my next record.
A contemporary sound with an ear towards the past; I’m sure you’ll hear her popping up on these pages again soon.
