Fourth Daughter takes on mental unease with her introspective latest “Take The Fall.”
Taken from the upcoming EP HYPERREAL, this moody, alt-dance catharsis navigates the apprehensive development of confidence in one’s self through inspired introspection, buoyed by airy synths and an edgy percussive evolution. Speaking on her process, the Scottish soloist explains:
The mental torture of trying to take up your own space in places where it sometimes doesn’t feel so easy to do so out of being too shy/not wanting to make a mistake. It’s like an internal dialogue of wanting to be yourself but being too afraid of what other people might think, and the yo-yo self encouragement/self doubt debates that come with that.
The ups and downs of anxiety are significant, so its nice to know you’re not alone in the struggle. It’s even nicer when that comfort is set to a slick groove.
