James Arthur is starting his year off with a splash as he releases his upcoming album’s title track “Bitter Sweet Love.”

This final taste of the Jan. 26 release is big, bouncy, and bold, taking some sonic risks along the way. Letting us in on his process, the UK songster shares:

I love that it mashes up so many styles. It goes from an almost The 1975-like groove to a Kings of Leon-esque pre chorus, then back to funky groove.
