Blackout Problems – STASH

German three-set Blackout Problems are prepping the release of new album RIOT [out Feb. 23] with the project’s linchpin “STASH.”

As one of the first songs written for RIOT, this rock’d out spin serves as a sonic blueprint for the rest of the album with its kinetic energy and poignant lyricism. Songwriter+singer+producer Mario Radetzky puts it plainly:

For me, the single was like a test to see how it works when I produce on my own. I tried to open up and find my way to myself as well as out of myself. When you listen to the album, you learn things about me that I would never tell you.

And you’ll learn things about yourself too; catharsis being the band’s ultimate mission. Which is why the darker lamentations resonate so strongly and make this a worthwhile listen.
