I first posted about the Detroit MC known as Tha Kameleon back in July. Well now his debut EP Erebus has seen the light of day.
It’s a five track introduction wholly conflicting with the mainstream. The young rapper approaches the scene with a positive socially conscious outlook on life. Aided by some crisp production this fresh spin shines through on cuts like “Life Is Good” and “Hands in the Sky.”
The other offerings have their ups and downs. The heart and effort are still there but they come off as almost generic and nondescript in the end.
While clearly still green at times, this ardent artist brings an uncommon passion that only needs to evolve and grow over time. Download/buy Erebus over at Bandcamp. And be sure to give some social media love
