Jess Glynne – Ain’t Got Far To Go (Acoustic)

UK starlet and soon-to-be household name, Jess Glynne, is having a month to forget. Cancelling festival appearances due to an undisclosed throat illness isn’t necessarily the best way to promote your highly anticipated debut album, August’s I Cry When I Laugh. But there’s no stopping this single-minded force from making sure her fans are served up fresh material while she’s sidelined.

I present you with an acoustic performance of ICWIL track “Ain’t Got Far To Go.” Recorded as part of the same promotional session we saw the fantastic “My Love” in, this three minute charmer is a flawless blend of gospel infusion and powerhouse vocals. Throw in a little hand-clapping fun for good measure and you’ve got this blogger even more excited for the rest of Glynne’s coming out party.

I Cry When I Laugh, available for pre-order now, will be released August 14th via Atlantic Records. And US fans will be able to catch the recuperated Glynne for a string of shows starting this September here in D.C., while hometown fans will have to wait until Halloween night to see the songstress in person.
