When Digital High last checked in with Adam E earlier this year he had just released “Back 2 Life,” a personal favorite off of his Rock Star Life EP [still available at Amazon and iTunes by the way].

Since then the D.C. native has kept busy with his RockStarLife Sundays [a residency at the Old Engine 12 Restaurant in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Northwest] and he’s been readying a batch of new material, our first taste coming in the form of “Burnt Out,” and old-school groover touching on the highs and lows an unrestrained and unrelenting romance brings. Fellow DC dude Kid Cannibal is back behind the boards, serving up a fresh take on that Motown-esque soul sound, which leaves Adam to rouse a fittingly emotional vocal effort. When these two click, it’s something special.

But he’s not done yet. For those local supporters, the Adam E Project will be performing this Sunday June 28th at the historic Howard Theatre [tickets still available] where you can catch another glimpse of new stuff, the single “I Don’t Believe In Love” off of WPGC’s Chris Styles’ #DMVRising project.
