If you’ve been shaking your head over The Chainsmokers’ recent string of moody, downtempo takes you aren’t alone. But shake no more, as the deviceful duo team up with Emily Warren for a much needed jolt of sunny season energy on their latest collaboration.
Led by a pure piano underpinning, “Side Effects” is a dynamic electroni-pop piece bursting at the seams with charisma and charm. Trop-lite synths cascade over future bass rhythms, a take designed especially for the late-night dancers in mind, while the siren soloist’s stellar vocals [that talk-sing bridge tho!] solidify the track as a true bop.
