“Salt,” co-produced and penned alongside Robyn Del Unto, deals in the worrisome foibles of depression and social isolation spun through a gladdening weave. Melancholic verses are traded over a spirited indie-pop production base. But its that juxtaposition of illusory happiness, the cut’s common thread, that works so well in their musicmaking favor.
