The unofficial end to Summer ’18 has unfortunately come to its unwanted fruition, but here to say goodbye in welcomed fashion are Michigan music-makers Westrin & Mowry with their simple but sufficient spin on Don Henley’s sunny season standard.
Coincidentally the second such update DH has covered in as many months, this take on “The Boys Of Summer” tends not to stray too far from the original in its commitment to the enduring melody, but instead takes chances with nuanced vocal interpretations that come across more earnest and unprentended than Henley’s ever did.
