Sometimes the road to success is full of potholes and detours, but eventually everybody makes it there in one piece. That’s the story of Canadian four-piece The Treble on their journey to new single “Saturday Night.”
We started young and burned bright. We got swept up by people in our lives and in the industry telling us what to do, and what to say…We finally got to a point where we looked at each other and said, “Okay, enough already. Let’s just allow this band to sound the way it’s meant to sound.” We stopped trying to water things down and chase what other people told us to and instead the best version of ourselves we ever could have imagined began to shine through.
And shine they do. A blithely upbeat cut, the song is emblematic of a nascent love strewn throughout its original blend of conventional alt-rock instrumentation and pop-tinged harmonies. It may have been a bumpy ride, but the end result is worth the bruises.
