Sampling a classic collaboration in the hopes they may spawn one just the same, power-vocalist Karen Harding, production duo Future Kings, and solo beat-crafter L’Tric have combined for a fresh house take in “Rely.”
Borrowing the iconic hook from Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger’s country-pop chart-topper “Islands In the Stream,” the three acts have built an accessible groove lush in dance-pop rhythms and infectious verse. They very well may be on their way to something memorable of their own here.
