Digital High is always down with a little female empowerment, especially when it’s at the hands of a trio of females with a long history of bad-assery.
The Dixie Chicks conceived the indefinitely delayed album Gaslighter’s second single “Julianna Calm Down” as an anthemic, country-pop piece for women to throw on and feel appreciated. Speaking in a press release, the band said:
We hope it makes you feel empowered, smile, and strut the f*** around like you’ve got nothing to lose. We will strut through this time together.
Amen!
