Dan Michaelson is a name new to Digital High. Not for a lack of talent but for an abundance of skill in a genre that is too often overlooked, classical. That changes with the release of “Colourfield III,” the third and final single off of his Colourfield album.

Deep rumbles of timbre set the pace before soaring strings, temperate piano, and touch of brass all build a beautiful crescendo before reaching the come-too-soon climax. But hey, it’s about time for some culture on these pages.
