Selah Sue – Pills

It’s been a few minutes since DH checked in on Selah Sue but that changes real quick as the Belgian singer-songwriter returns to these pages with the mood-altering “Pills.”

A melancholic look at the despondency stemming from anti-depressant use, the alt-pop offering paints a vivid soundscape shaped by danceable rhythms and bluesy impressions. But it’s in the haunting lyricism, juxtaposed against the spirited tones, that the new tune finds its soulful essence.
