Billed as a “band of guitar-slinging emo kids from the woods of Sweden,” Tribe Friday are leaning into the quirk on new tune “Me And All My Friends.”
Bubblegum-pop meets alt-emo vibes on this misfit anthem, as traditional approaches begin to give way to an irreverence taking foot. Speaking on the process behind the quirky cut, lead singer Noah Deutschmann expounds:
Lyrically, it’s at times the most emo thing we’ve ever done. Musically, it’s the most comical. Middle section is complete with kazoos, mouth horns, and plastic bottle-shaker.
No matter the instrument, this one just sounds good.
