The party scene has never heard such a succinct characterization as it has than on SILK and Mali-Koa’s collaboration “Regret The Morning.”

Taken from the London beat-crafter’s debut EP of the same name, this sonic commentary leans into a bounce found at home somewhere in-between dance and alt-pop bents but it’s the vocal achievements of the Aussie soloist that strike so stirringly.

In her almost Sesame Street esque rundown of drugs and their impact she’s able to convey the tone in an almost humorous way, making it easier to digest the significance in small soundbites. When taken as a whole, this listening experience is going to move you in more ways than one.
