White Denim is getting down and dirty in the grit of it as he releases his colorful country croon “Ruby.”
Appearing on the newly pressed project 13 [out now], this new cut is a soulful homage to down-dirty blues heard through a contemporary slant. The mind behind the band James Petralli puts it his way:
I get really excited about making direct connections between my work and the history of rock and roll. I’m not really a purist. I do however feel that attempting to build something new upon existing foundations that represents my friends and I is about the most enjoyable and life affirming way I’ve found to spend time.
And in the end that’s what it’s all about. Isn’t it?
